Many other proposals are being lobbyed on a national perspective.  But on a Kentucky Farms perspective, the items slated for placing effort behind include:

Improving the veterinarian diagnosis centers for identifying, quarantining, and treating the most severe of animal diseases that are found at the Lexington Kentucky and Hopkinsville KY centers.

Placing 50% of the moneys received from the tobacco settlement into agriculture diversifying endeavors and to promote their industry so that it has a positive impact in the future.

Lobbying for insurance law changes that include allowing more competitors to be in a particular market which should help ease the current pricing that many farm owners are having to face regarding high insurance costs.

Lobbying the politicians and opposing any law changes that would allow a higher tax increase to be placed on persons that own big tracts of real estate and farms.

Lobbying the politicians to ensure that all food items are accurately labeled and to prohibit mis-labeling such food products as they are potentially damaging and misrepresenting the information to the consumers.
