North American International Livestock Exposition November 3-16 2007

north-american-international-livestock-exposition-november-3-16-2007_192The Shelbyville Kentucky newspaper, The Sentinel-News, wrote an article yesterday about the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) to be held November 3-16 2007 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville Kentucky.

This year, they expect over 22,000 entries into 140 categories and competitions - and more than 200,000 visitors will be in attendance during the North American International Livestock Exposition 2 week event.

Some of the animals to be at the show this year include:

Horses

Goats

Dairy cattle

Llamas

Alpacas

Donkeys

Boer goats

Mules

Beef Cattle

Hogs

Sheep

And a new addition to the North American International Livestock Exposition this year is the Saddle Mule & Donkey show which is going to be happening on Thursday November 8 2007.

The sale of champions will be held Thursday November 15 2007 at 7:30 pm in the East Hall of the fairgrounds in Louisville Kentucky.  Last year’s auction brought in approximately $95,000.

A major event during the exposition is the North American Championship Rodeo and will be going on during the event November 8-10.  This year, they will be offering over $80,000 in prizes for the riders.  Tickets for admission cost $26 for Thursday & Friday nights, and Saturday runs $31.  There is no general admission - all seats are reserved.

This year, additional entertainment will be offered with the U.S. Disc Dog Nationals Championship Weekend November 10-11.

Admission for visitors to get into the North American International Livestock Exposition is $5 for adults, and $2 for children under 12.  You can also purchase a pass for all 14 days of the event for $20.

Parking will be $5 per day - or you can purchase a pass for $25.
