Equestrian Community: L’Esprit in La Grange KY

The plans for the development featured 60 horse farm tracts ranging in size from 13 - 700 acres. It had its own Quarantine / Receiving center that would keep incoming horses in isolation to avoid the potential spread of any diseases that the newcomers to the community might be carrying. It had its own veterinary and surgery complex, a maintenance area, and its own sales center.
The gently rolling community even had some nice water features with some gently babbling creeks flowing through the development, and 2 lakes.
The development did quite well initially - but was soon met with an uncertain economy coupled with the removal of the tax benefits that once made Arabian horse farms so attractive. Then the real estate market became very soft, which made the once in demand development unattractive, and unaffordable for most persons. The community then languished for several years - its fate not entirely certain.
Today, things have really turned around and L’Esprit has become the horse community that it was always intended to be. With gently rolling hills, conveniences of shopping nearby in LaGrange which has become a bedroom community to Louisville, and quick access to the I-71 interstate - the community has really revitalized and bounced back.
Many persons searching the horse properties for sale in Kentucky, quickly find that an equestrian community is exactly what they are wanting.
